El Refugio is an eco-friendly house with modern commodities. The house offers a beautiful living space with terrace and incredible view on the gulf, a kitchenette, two bedrooms and a bathroom. It also has hammock to drink coffee in the morning or maybe some late afternoon cocktails with the beautiful sunset. The house is completely protected from the elements but still allowing the beautiful gulf breeze to come through. An outdoor shower that can be enjoyed even while it rains to enjoy the view and sounds of the wild life.
We are eco-friendly, our electric system is powered by 100% solar energy and a big percentage of the house was built on wood cultivated on the property, we also have 3 separate containers for residues.
You can enjoy the 17-acre property with its trails in the primary forest. The property is located inside the Golfo Dulce forrestal reserve, surrounded by acres of rainforest where you can listen to a variety of animals, such as toucans, scarlet macaws, sparrowhawks and owls, as well you might find imprints of tapir, zaino and white-nosed coati footprints.
